Yoga Workshop : The Moving Breath
Sunday 9th June, 2 - 4.30pm
The Kinning Park Complex, 41 Cornwall Street, Glasgow, G41 1AQ
The focus of this workshop will be exploring the movement of breath in the body. By using different techniques to gain deeper insight into our own breathing rhythm, we will discover how and where it moves in the body and how we can use it to relax.
After exploring the breath we will move into a physical Yoga asana practice, starting at a gentle pace to connect the breath with movement, then building up to an energetic flow keeping the breath central to the practice. This will include work with the Sun Salutations and its variations, with a view to synchronise our breathing, with each posture.
Each student will be encouraged to develop a self practice to take home with them.
Finally, there will be a question and answer session over tea and cake.

Dynamic Hatha Yoga
The focus in this class is on bringing awareness into the breath and body, in order to feel happier and healthier on and off the Yoga mat!
In each class we will explore dynamic movement guided by the breath, to stretch and strengthen, complemented with gentle yin style postures to connect the mind, body and spirit. We will close each session with a deep relaxation in order to receive the full benefits of the yoga.
