Melissa is also available for private and semi-private yoga classes throughout Glasgow from £35 per hour.
Yoga Classes are open to all levels. No need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.

Bring your own mat if possible, though there will be spares available or for hire depending on the venue.

Melissa's Yoga Story
I began a daily practice and dedicated myself to study the different aspects of Yoga. I studied psychology at University as the body-mind connection has always intrigued me, so I viewed my yoga studies as a natural extension of this.
There were difficulties along the way and times when I 'fell out' with the practice, but it was always there for me when I returned.
In 2010 I decided to travel to India to train as a teacher. I spent 6 months there, immersing myself in yoga. I completed a 300 hour Yoga Alliance approved course in Rishikesh and I also spent time at the Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. I was fortunate to meet some wonderful teachers, whose words still continue to evolve and grow with me now.
On returning to the UK I began teaching in Bournemouth and found a teacher to keep learning with, who was part of the Integral Yoga discipline. However, I felt I wanted to immerse myself in Yoga, as I had in India, so my Husband and I went to work at Yoga Rocks Crete for 2 years. We ran the vegetarian kitchen, met friends for life and continued to deepen our Yoga practice. We were lucky to study with some of the worlds most well known teachers.
We returned to the UK at the end of 2012 and I've been teaching several classes around Glasgow since then. I also completed a 90hour teaching training with Jude Murray to teach people living with cancer and long term illness. The course was wonderful and added a different aspect to my own practice and therefore my teaching.
I continue to study and develop my practice, learning from great teachers and my wonderful students, who have taught me more than they could realise.
The focus in this class is on bringing awareness into the breath and body, in order to feel happier and healthier on and off the Yoga mat!
In each class we will explore movement guided by the breath, to stretch and strengthen, complemented with gentle yin style postures to connect the mind, body and spirit. We will close each session with a deep relaxation in order to receive the full benefits of the yoga.
