YogaThe style of yoga offered on this retreat is a unique blend of mindful movement practices, restorative yoga and yoga nidra. Every class is gentle and inclusive of all levels and abilities and prepares you to engage with the healing power of nature during the rest of the day. Your teacher, Kirsty Innes, has been leading yoga workshops, classes and retreats in Australia and the UK since 2008. Specialising in gentle therapeutic yoga, her sessions are supportive, insightful and deeply nourishing.
WalksWe’re spoilt for choice when it comes to walking option here! Following our Friday night check in, our expert guide, Graeme, will select the walking trails most suited to the ability and interests of the group, as well as the weather on the day. Graeme has lived on this land most of his life and, as we walk, will share stories of its wildlife, history and legend. An alternative option will also be given for those seeking a quieter, contemplative walk. Walks are gentle and suitable for all levels. A basic level of physical fitness is required.
Location
We will be retreating to a beautiful nature sanctuary a few minutes from Spean Bridge town centre, where we will be surrounded by untouched forests, friendly wildlife, a tranquil loch and a myriad of walking tracks. Spean Bridge is a picturesque 30-minute drive from Fort William or under 3 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres by car, bus or train. Local pickup can be organised in advance.
AccommodationAccommodation is in twin or double ensuite bedrooms, each with its own stunning view over the loch.  The lodge features a cosy lounge room and a self-contained kitchen. Although the retreat is fully-catered, you are always welcome to help yourself to a delicious herbal tea or snacks from the kitchen. With the calm waters of  the loch only a few steps from your door and the Cairngorms National Park as your next door neighbour, this private property provides an idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.
FoodDelicious & nutritious meals will be prepared each day by The Yoga Kitchen. Our vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared using ingredients sourced from the local area and are designed to nurture and nourish your body.
