Join Melissa for a rejuvenating afternoon of Qigong, Yin and Restorative Yoga.
Qigong is an ancient form of exercise rooted in Chinese Medicine. The practice was developed for health and well-being and the movements are slow and steady but the practice builds strength, energy, develops balance and helps us to tune into nature through the seasonal approach.
We will begin with an introduction to some Qigong basics before moving onto warm ups and joint releases. We will then start working on a lovely nourishing Qigong sequence of flowing movements to calm and boost vitality.
The second hour will be focused on floor based Yin and Restorative Yoga. We will use bolsters and cushions to support the body to unwind tension and increase our energy - finishing the practice with a guided relaxation.
The workshop will be spacious and leisurely and you’ll hopefully leave feeling refreshed and restored.
If you’re able to stay for a cuppa afterward there will be plenty of time for tea and a chat too!
